On June 17, 2023, Saturday, on the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Claretian Communications Foundation Inc., in partnership with the Association of Catholic Shrines and Pilgrimages in the Philippines, launched the book “The Role of Shrines in View of the New Evangelization: Pope Francis’ Theology on Shrines and Pilgrimages applied in the Philippine Context Second Edition” by Kendrick Ivan B. Panganiban, M.A.P.M., M.A.Th., S.Th.L – M.A. At The Crypt and Chapel of the Resurrection of the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace & Good Voyage (Antipolo Cathedral).

The Author shared his advocacies as a Shrine Promoter and Lecturer to shrines in the country. The highlight of the book launch was the showing of the documentary, “Banal na Dambana” which showcased the value of shrines in our lives as Catholics and its importance as a tool for evangelization and “Pueblo Amante de Maria” which featured Marian shrines in the Philippines and more deeply the cultural nuances and spiritual significance of the Marian devotion Filipino Catholics.

This book won as Best Book in Liturgy at the 15th Cardinal Sin Catholic Book Awards and was a Finalist in the Elfren S. Cruz Prize for Best Book in Social Sciences at the 40th National Book Awards.
